Project Manager - "Be2aydena" Project
Dr. Hassan Abbas Zaki Association for Development is seeking an experienced and passionate Project Manager to lead our critical "Be2aydena" (بإيدينا - 'By Our Hands') Project. This initiative is central to our mission of empowering Egyptian women, particularly single mothers, by providing them with vocational training and economic opportunities through handicrafts (such as macramé, knitting, and carpet weaving).

About the "Be2aydena" Project"Be2aydena" is a vocational and economic empowerment project designed to equip vulnerable women with marketable handicraft skills. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire project life cycle, from participant identification and training delivery to production coordination, quality control, and linking beneficiaries to market opportunities.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Project Manager for "Be2aydena," your duties will include:
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop and manage the detailed project work plan, ensuring all activities (training, production, sales) are delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee the selection and registration of beneficiaries, primarily single mothers and women in need.
- Ensure the quality and relevance of training materials and vocational workshops (handicrafts, business skills).
- Team & Resource Management:
- Supervise the project team, including trainers, social workers, and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative and mission-driven environment.
- Manage the project budget, monitor expenditure, and ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies.
- Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting (MEAL):
- Establish and implement a robust M&E framework to track project outputs (e.g., number of women trained, products produced) and outcomes (e.g., income generation, self-reliance).
- Prepare high-quality, accurate, and timely progress and financial reports for the Association's leadership and potential donors.
- Stakeholder & Market Coordination:
- Coordinate with external partners, market vendors, and fair organizers to secure sales channels and marketing opportunities for the women's products.
- Liaise with the finance and administrative departments to ensure smooth project operations and compliance with NGO standards.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of [ 3-5] years of progressive experience in managing development ,or training projects within a non-profit or NGO context.
- Technical Skills: Proven experience with the Project Cycle Management (PCM), including planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. Strong data analysis and MS Office skills.
- Livelihood Expertise: Understanding of the local market dynamics, value chains, and challenges/opportunities related to women's economic empowerment and small-scale craft production in Egypt.
- NGO Compliance: Familiarity with NGO governance, donor requirements, and working with local community entities in Egypt.
- Language: Fluency in both Arabic (required for community engagement) and English (required for reporting and communications).
